Year Two's Church Experience

Class: Year 2 Year: 2019 - 2020

Year Two enjoyed their Christmas Experience at St. Andrew's Church.  We explored The Christmas Story beginning with Angel Gabriel appearing to Mary.  We thought about how she would have felt and made models of items which comfort us.  After that we visited the shepherd's campsite and made peace messages to give to our families.  Then we learned about the wise men, smelt frankincese and myrrh and drew gifts which we would give to Baby Jesus.  Next we thought about the journey that Mary and Joseph had made.  Finally we arrived at the stable, presented our gift ideas and reflected on God's gift to us.  We really enjoyed all the craft activities along the way and the snack!
