Financial Education Curriculum

At Rivington Primary School, we believe in developing our children both academically and socially to equip them with the skills necessary to become a valued member of society in the modern world. We believe our children should be given the knowledge and tools to navigate their way through an increasingly challenging and ever-changing financial world. In order to do this, we have decided to incorporate a 'financial education programme' into our curriculum using the Natwest Bank's MoneySense programme resources which link to the DfE National Curriculum.

In addition to this programme, we ensure our children are exposed as much as possible to any extra-curricular events that are based around financial education. We hold various enterprise and fundraising events throughout the year and we have also had workshops delivered to us across the school by HMRC to help the children understand tax and how it impacts upon them as they get older.
