Y5 BASH Celebration

Class: Year 5 Year: 2016 - 2017

This year, Year Five have taken part in BASH (Book Award St Helens)

We have read the six books in school and taken part in library workshops to share our thoughts on each book. 

This week, nine of us got the chance to go to the BASH Celebration Event where we met the mayor, an author (Will Babitt) and found out the winner of the BASH competition (The Bolds by Julian Clary). 

Will Babitt - who is the author of the Mabel Jones series of books shared some great advice with us which we took back to school and shared with the rest of Y5. He also asked us to help him with ideas for his next pirate book. Emily had to act out at the front and even Miss Laverick got involved and won our school a jar of marmite.
