Golden Ticket Afternoon

Date: 3rd Dec 2015 @ 4:14pm

On Tuesday the 1st of December Year Five earned a very special treat which included Miss Laverick being an Oompa Loompa. Our classroom was transformed into Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory and we even designed and made our own chocolate bars. The classroom door had golden gates on it and we played a game at the start of the lesson.  The game included wearing a headband that had one of the characters on it and you had three questions to guess who your character was. It was a lot of fun and it showed how much Year Five know about all of the characters. When Miss Laverick announced that we were going to invent and make our own sweet creations the first thing that came to my mind was a chocolate bar with marshmallows on top. It was amazing, some people made little ones and some people made gigantic ones. First we filled out a design sheet and then it was time to create our treat.

Here is mine -

Ingredients: Blue, Yellow and Green melted chocolate

Marshmallows

Sprinkles in flavours of chocolate and strawberry

Coconut and lots of fruit.

We then created boxes in all different sizes: long, tiny and normal. They are so colourful and so sweet looking. Literally they look like sweets. We all had a fantastic afternoon. I think Charlie and The Chocolate Factory is our new favourite topic. Thanks to all the teachers for helping including Miss Oompa Loompa.
